Scott Hoglander is a Captain with the Prince Georges County Fire Department. His canine partner Misty is four years old and has been in service as an accelerant detecting canine for the past three years. Misty was rescued from an animal shelter in Florida and brought to Maine for the State Farm Arson Dog Program.
Captain Hoglander has been with the career fire service for the past 12 years, with six years in the Office of Fire Prevention / Investigations and three years as a canine handler. Captain Hoglander is a certified NFPA Fire Investigator, Fire Officer IV, Fire Inspector III, and Fire Instructor III. Captain Hoglander also serves on the Maryland State Fire Prevention Commission.
